Pronunciation and Word Choice of Different Regions

According to many different visuals from the article, 22 Maps that Show How Americans Speak English Differently from One Another, pronunciation is a large part that separates dialects into different regions across the United States. All of these surveys are clear evidence that the pronunciation of some owords are only spoken in specific regions. Joshua Katz, a Ph.D. student of statistics at North Carolina State University published these visualizations of different professors' linguistic surveys which looked at words. It efficiently explained the different regional pronunciations through a variety of words.
